Strength, as an important indicator of structural materials, has always been research topic in materials science. Theoretically, building a strength model is rewarding method to understand the relationship between mechanical properties and microstructure materials. Although many models can reduplicate experimental values very well, they are empirical models, their applicability limited for which parameters have obtained. Here, non-empirical proposed based on two-dimensional (2D) displacement potential dislocation slipping, be applied different chemically bonded crystals. Owing large electron localization function (ELF), covalent ionic crystals high 2D slip mode prefers kink-pair mode, further exhibiting critical resolved shear stress (CRSS).
